Storefront and account region
Shadowrocket is currently unavailable on the mainland China App Store. If you can’t find it, first check the country or region associated with the Apple ID you use for App Store purchases instead of repeatedly changing your search terms. Your device’s location, system language, and App Store account region are separate settings. Changing your device language to English will not switch storefronts.
To check, go to Settings → Apple ID → Media & Purchases → View Account → Country/Region. You may need to verify your identity, and the account page layout can vary by system version. The Country/Region page shows your current region and provides Apple’s official option to change it. Review the conditions shown there before proceeding.
Changing regions may be affected by your account balance, active subscriptions, Family Sharing group, and payment details. Follow Apple’s current prompts to see whether you can proceed. This guide identifies where to find the setting; it does not guarantee that every account can change regions immediately. Before making a purchase, confirm that you meet the payment and account requirements for that storefront, and keep your purchase record. You’ll need the original purchasing account to restore the app later.
The buttons on this page all link to the same US App Store product page. The us in the URL identifies the storefront; it does not change your Apple ID region. If the page says the app is unavailable in your region, check your account settings. A web page loading does not mean your account can make the purchase. The final price, payment confirmation, and installation are handled in the App Store.
Verify the App’s Identity
The name helps you find the app; the developer, official icon, and app ID confirm its identity.
Shadowrocket
Shadow Launch Technology Limitedid932747118
The store lists the product as Shadowrocket. Search results may include apps with similar names or icons, so don’t rely on keywords, listing order, or promotional descriptions alone. Check the product page against the details below; if anything doesn’t match, stop and verify the listing before purchasing.
Check the developer, then the official icon
On the product page, confirm the full developer name: Shadow Launch Technology Limited. Check the complete name, not just one word, and make sure you’re looking at the developer field rather than text in the app description. The official icon is a blue-and-purple outlined rocket on a white background, matching the icon shown here. A rocket or similar colors alone do not prove it’s the same app.
Check the app ID
The specified product page URL ends with id932747118; the numeric app ID is 932747118. Names may appear with extra descriptive text on different pages, while the app ID identifies this specific product. If the App Store opens directly, return to your browser to check the link on this page, or use the store’s sharing option to view the product URL. Confirm the developer and icon as well; don’t rely on just one detail.
Official screenshots for interface reference
The two images show official English interface screenshots submitted by the developer to the App Store: Home and Add Server. Home shows Not Connected, Global Routing, Connectivity Test, and SERVER. Add Server shows fields such as Type, Host, Port, Password, and Method. Use them to locate interface elements, not to verify the app’s identity.
The interface layout may change with updates, and your SERVER list depends on the content you’ve imported. Don’t enter example items from the screenshots just to match them. After installation, prepare your own subscription or server details, then follow the Quick Start. This site does not provide, sell, or recommend nodes or subscriptions.
Install and open Shadowrocket on iPhone
Install from the App Store first, then configure the connection in the app.
Open the product page linked here on your iPhone. Confirm the app name, developer, icon, and app ID, then review the price and compatibility details in the store. System requirements are as stated on the App Store page; expand the compatibility section before buying rather than relying on your device model alone. Complete the purchase using your account’s payment method, wait for installation to finish, then open Shadowrocket from the Home Screen.
If the product page shows a cloud download button, your current storefront account usually has a corresponding purchase record, and you can try restoring the app. If a price appears but you believe you already bought it, check the account used for Media & Purchases and your purchase history first. The account signed in to other Apple services on your device may not be the one used to buy the app. Don’t confirm another payment until you’ve checked.
System permission on first connection
The first time you try to enable a connection, your iPhone may ask you to approve adding a VPN configuration. This permission allows the client to handle device network traffic according to its configuration; your device passcode or identity verification may be required. Make sure Shadowrocket initiated the request, then review the prompt and decide whether to allow it. Installing the app, adding a configuration, and establishing a working connection are separate steps. Approval does not mean your server details are correct.
Return to Home and import your own subscription or enter existing server details using Add Server. Select the right item, then check Global Routing. For rule-based routing, choose Config and confirm the current configuration includes the rules you need. Proxy and Direct are other traffic-handling modes. After connecting, Connectivity Test can help with checks, but its results reflect only the test conditions and don’t replace testing actual access.
If the App Store download stays pending or installation stops, check the store’s message, available device storage, network connection, payment status, and system compatibility. These issues happen before the app opens and won’t be fixed by changing server settings. Once installation is complete, troubleshoot subscriptions, server details, and configuration if the connection still fails.
iPad and other compatible devices on the same storefront
Check purchase history and device configuration separately.
You can use the purchase history for the same Apple ID to install Shadowrocket on iPhone and iPad. On your iPad, sign in to the App Store with the original purchasing account, find the same product, and use the store’s redownload option. A single purchase generally covers both compatible devices without another app charge. Check the App Store listing for system requirements and Universal Purchase eligibility.
The iPad’s larger screen may change the page layout and how content expands, but use the English interface labels Home, Config, Data, and Settings to find your way. Don’t rely on a button’s exact position in a screenshot; confirm the page and item name first. Add Server values must come from your own server details. Switching devices is not a reason to change Type, Port, or authentication details arbitrarily.
Purchase history lets you obtain the app; it does not make configurations identical across devices. After installation, check each device’s imported subscriptions, updated lists, selected server, and Global Routing settings. If iPhone connects but iPad does not, compare these settings and then check the network on each device. Don’t assume the purchase status is the problem.
Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Vision
The compatibility section on the same App Store product page also lists Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Vision. Check whether the app is available in the App Store on your device, then review the compatibility and purchase details. System requirements and Universal Purchase eligibility are as stated on the App Store page. Don’t assume that every model is supported based on its device name, or apply steps for other devices to iPhone or iPad.
New devices, reinstalling, and restoring purchases
Restore the app first, then restore your own connection details.
When moving to a new device or reinstalling after deletion, open App Store → Account → Purchased, search for Shadowrocket, and download it again. Depending on your system version, the relevant section may be under “Apps” or “My Apps”; look through your account page for your purchase history. You can usually redownload without paying again with the original purchasing Apple ID, as long as the current storefront still allows it.
If you can’t find the app in Purchased, first check the account currently signed in to Media & Purchases, then review your purchase history to confirm that Shadowrocket was the app you bought. A previous region change, a different purchasing account, or an incomplete original payment may affect what you see. Rely on the store’s actual records and prompts; seeing the app icon on an old device does not prove that the current account owns the purchase.
Restoring the app does not restore its configuration
After reinstalling, check the SERVER list in Home and the configuration files in Config. If they’re empty, reimport your own subscription, server details, or saved configuration. Buying the app does not generate this information or recover server passwords from your purchase history. Before changing devices, make sure you can still access your existing connection details and securely save any configuration you need.
Treat subscription URLs, server passwords, and QR codes containing authentication details as personal connection information. When troubleshooting, describe the issue and field names only; redact sensitive details from screenshots before sharing them. After importing on a new device, update the list, verify the settings, and follow the system prompts to add a VPN configuration. Permission granted on your old device does not mean it has been granted on the new one.
To check whether Family Sharing applies, review the App Store product page’s support information and your own family group and account settings. Family Sharing and redownloading with the original purchasing account are different situations; don’t assume every family member automatically gets the same purchase access. If the store keeps asking for payment or shows an unexpected purchase status, start with the account and purchase support options in the App Store.
Price and one-time purchase
US storefront reference: $2.99. Confirm the final price in the store.
Shadowrocket is a paid commercial app, purchased once rather than billed monthly. The US storefront reference price is $2.99. Other storefronts use local currencies, and the actual price, taxes, and payment terms are shown on the App Store listing and confirmation screen. Don’t assume an amount shown in another storefront converts directly to what your account will be charged.
This distinction also determines the troubleshooting order. If you’ve paid but the Home list is empty, check whether you imported connection details. If the list has items but connections fail, check the subscription status, settings, selected server, and current network. Return to purchase history only when the store won’t provide the app or keeps prompting you to buy it. A successful app purchase does not prove that a connection works.
The validity of a user’s existing subscription and their Shadowrocket app purchase are managed separately. When subscription details change, update the in-app list using the current information. If server authentication details change, update the corresponding fields as well. Buying the app once does not replace maintaining these details, and buying it again won’t fix invalid server information.
App updates and checking settings
App updates are delivered through the App Store. Check the automatic update option in your system’s store settings, or look for pending updates on your account page. Refer to the product page’s version history for update details; this guide does not list a fixed version number. If a menu moves after an update, look for it by its English interface label and check your existing configuration and connection status. Don’t delete saved details just because the screenshot layout looks different.
Once you’ve confirmed the purchase and installation, continue with the Quick Start to import your existing subscription, choose a Global Routing mode, approve the connection, and test it. For the protocol fields under Type, see the Shadowsocks section of the protocol guide. For purchase and account questions, start with the FAQ below.
Download and purchase FAQ
Follow the current App Store prompts, and keep installation issues separate from connection issues.
Why can’t I find Shadowrocket on the App Store?
This app is currently unavailable on the mainland China App Store. The country or region associated with your Apple ID determines which storefront you see. Check it under Settings → Apple ID → Media & Purchases → View Account → Country/Region. The “us” in the product link does not change your account’s region. Availability for purchase depends on the current App Store listing.
The product page opens, but the download won’t finish. What should I check?
Start with the App Store message, then check your account’s purchase status, payment details, available device storage, network connection, and the listing’s compatibility requirements. If the purchase is complete, check Purchased and your purchase history first. Don’t submit the purchase repeatedly.
Do I have to pay again when I get a new device or reinstall Shadowrocket?
On the Apple ID used for the original purchase, find Shadowrocket under App Store → Account → Purchased and download it again; you can usually do this without paying again. If a price still appears, check the account used for Media & Purchases and your purchase history. Restoring the app does not restore its configuration; you’ll need to import your own subscription or server details on the new device.
I bought Shadowrocket on iPhone. Can I install it on iPad?
You can use the same Apple ID purchase history to redownload the app on another compatible iPhone or iPad. Check the App Store listing for system requirements and Universal Purchase eligibility. Subscriptions, configurations, and connection status must still be checked on each device separately.
Can I install Shadowrocket on Mac, Apple TV, or Apple Vision?
The compatibility section on the same App Store listing includes Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Vision. Check availability in the App Store on your device. System requirements and Universal Purchase eligibility are as stated on the App Store page.
The app interface is in English. Where should I start?
Check your connection status in Home. Use Add Server to enter your own server details, or follow the guide to import an existing subscription. In Global Routing, Config, Proxy, and Direct determine how traffic is handled. This manual keeps interface labels in English; use the official screenshots and quick start guide to find each option. Don’t rely on the interface language alone to identify the app.
